This was excellent. As far as spelling, grammar, mechanics, and basic style go, the writing was very easy to understand and to follow, which is something I cannot say about all stories that I have enjoyed. Beyond that, the perspective into Snake's personality and his perspective on his mission were skillfully crafted. I am thinking particularly of the signing sequence. I also enjoyed the final section, wherein the overall feeling of the Metal Gear franchise, as I experience it, comes into view. That feeling is one of being surrounded by necessary and unnecessary violence, but with a deep underlying desire for pacifism, a distaste for war, even as one excels at it.
