*sniff* That was beautifully written but so sad.

Deeply moving and awesome drabble about the things you learn rather implicitly in life.

Whereas I can really understand Sammy’s will to win over his brother for once, being on the receiving end (even if well-meant) too many times already, this experience surely broke Dean’s heart in a way and hurt him more mentally than physically.

Yet despite all sympathy for Dean, I also know why John went down that road to get the message home with his oldest son (although I’m pretty certain he never truly learnt it). Protecting Sam at all costs, should reach a limit at some point but doesn’t with Dean – which in the long run will become desasterous.

Amazing job!

That said, this is more about one brother learning an important lesson and the other just refusing to do so with the best of intentions.

Nice craftsmanship! I don't know if you did this on purpose or not but that disjointed/scrambled writing style accentuates the sense that Sam is keeping his knowledge about this event in small pieces, where they can't touch each other and form an uncomfortable whole, such as, I just made Dean bleed and he would never have made me bleed, or, my big brother's not such a hero after all, or I just helped my dad be a giant bully and make Dean feel small. Those would be hard things to know.

Well, I sure didn't hate it. Very disturbing and well-written.

I really like it. I read through it several times and it is kind of powerful in an unsettling sort of way. Like, hopefully Sam uses his powers for good and not evil, because he is Dean's weakness and Dean wouldn't, couldn't win at that cost. Great last line.

Wow. That was really good. Seriously. John really messed up those boys and I love the whole Sammy not pulling his punches. Kinda fixated on that idea at the moment.
