i'm glad to see im not the only one who think's Gol D. Roger is related to Luffy and Ace in SOMEWAY!
i mean, he could be his great uncle, making him Garp's Brother, or his other grandpa, idk, i just have a feeling that before the end of the series Oda is going to say, OH YEAH! Roger is Luffy's relative! :3

Poor writing skills? You must be kidding, this was excellent!! Really well written, but also the story you thought of for Luffy's and Ace's past fits in very nicely with the original! I almost want this to be canon and I don't think you contradicted anything from the manga either..

I always wanted to imagine Ace + Luffy's past and your story seems to fit in pretty well with the original.. stuff. (:
I also loved how you put in little details like Ace's hat and how you made Dragon into like a bad guy.
Cause I always thought of him like a powerful but loves-his-sons kinda guy.

i suggest you give a bit more detail to some of the parts, i don't know y but i'm just really curious to see how garp found his grandsons when he didn't even know what they looked like!

I really liked this. I think it was definately better that the mother be left unamed, it allows a reader to fill in the dots where there ar eknown and draw a picture of their own(CHEESE!) Truly I liked this. I think the ending could have been a bit better though. it didn't seem as good as it could have been.

You have become my hero! I have been waiting for a D Family fic and this is really well done to boot. ^_^

Even on LJ its hard to find a fic with them. Awesome!
