Ron is an arse, Cedric is doing the job he should be doing. Which is supporting and looking out for Hermione.

I'm glad Hermione isn't letting Rodent get her down, but I do agree with Chau. This party isn't safe when anyone can approach her, do whatever they want and then get away before anyone realizes what has happened.

Can't wait to read the next chapter.

Olala! I loved this chapter i'd say the most out of everything you've written for this story so far. I thought it was really, honestly great! It had such a brilliant emotional envoy... The scene with Ron was infuriating yet heart-wrenching... The shower scene? Epic... That was brilliant! i loved the fact that you really made this villian truly evil... He isn't a detached killer... he is meaningful and cunning in the way he toys with hermione... I loved that!! and you ended with her dressed as something for halloween... there wasnt much description there... so i didnt quite get what she was... but i am guessing you saved the descriptive writing for the next chapter... ^.^

Poor Hermione and Amanda. It sucks that Ron is such a jackass, I don't get how he feels justified being a chauvinistic git. Has he forgotten Hermione fought alongside them is the war, and so did many other witches? And was Tonks not a "girl" too?

Glad she had Chau there to distract her. And tell her a few home truths. I think it's good that she has the idea of liking Cedric simmering in the back of her mind now that Rodent has upped the ante to sending "gifts".

I wonder if she'll tell Cedric about Bethany and Alec? I think he deserves to know, especially if Bethany plans to cause any more trouble for either of them, not to mention he should know where Alec's loyalties lie.

I have a great deal of respect for you, as one of the few authors able to understand how both Gryffindor and Slytherin minds work.

At least, I thought you understood. But your response to my brutally honest criticism has damaged my faith in this belief. A Slytherin mind takes harsh criticism, ignores the outer trappings, and checks if the message within has any validity. A Gryffindor mind gets upset and whines.

Back to the issue at hand. I see your need, as an individual fan, to show your respect for the illogical hole-filled world that Rowling described. But millions of other fans - those less thoughtful than you - are already throwing money at it. If those tens of thousands of us upset with the epilogue don't object to official events such as this, or at least boycott them, who would?

You will be pleased to know that I have deleted my story alert to this story and that this is the last communication you shall receive from me. No further pearls need to be cast, by either of us. But feel free to have the last word, as that will undoubtedly make you feel better. Feeling better is a good thing, isn't it? :-)

He had no idea why Ron insisted on tormenting her in such a manner.

Why can't Harry, for once, tell Ron to shut it for Hermione's sake? He claims to be Hermione's friend, right? Or is it Bros B4 Hos like it always is with Potter?

“Ron,” Harry hissed. “What's with you?”

That's more like it! Go Potter!

“Can't you two just get on for once?”

And that's Potter being a coward again. When one party is clearly in the wrong, his idiotic attempts to stay neutral place him on the wrong side.

Love the way Chau takes care of Hermione against the evils of Harry and Ron. Maybe they'll finally get it into their heads that she has friends other than them and that if they keep making her life hard, she'll just drift from them? Hell, that might be best! It's hard to see how Hermione is benefitting from her 'friendship' with Ron, and even with Harry sometimes.

Glad she doesn't have makeup.

Hermione could just see how she would have attacked the irritating girl with a mad swarm of conjured hornets. Or maybe she would have enlarged her ears and nose and given her a mass breakout of puss-oozing boils.

Whoa! Hermione needs to calm down. Jinxing bitches isn't a crime, but getting caught is. And with her not in control of her emos like that, she'd get caught. She shouldn't rise to Bethany's taunts. She should just polyjuice Bethany as herself, Imperius her to believe that she is Hermione, send her off to Roden, then save her at the last minute during a daring raid she organizes to capture Roden, and selectively Obliviate her.

Bethany will then be unable to attack Hermione socially as that would look terribly ungrateful. Bitchany might even think that she owes a life debt to Hermione - the way Snape allegedly owed a life debt to Potter because Potter got cold feet about Black's plan to feed Snape to a werewolf. (You don't honestly believe James didn't know about the plot, do you?)

I like that Cedric and Hermione aren't leaping into each others' hearts and pants yet, but are cautiously approaching friendship.

I also like Chau. Every girl needs a good gay friend. Preferably more. (Why can't all men be gay? Oh, then we wouldn't have Cedric. Dang it!)

Felt terrified for the Auror. She's not going down without a fight - hope she gets out of it alive and kicks his ass along the way.

Cedric is much the gentleman but I wish he would have crawled in bed with her. Can't wait to see what happens next!
