I love this. I love the clever way you got us into Ruth's head (and so thoroughly, too!) and the way you gave Harry the chance to just make the move, already! Well done.

The plot of this fic is fluffy but Ruth's list most certainly is not. I agree with Harry - it's beautiful, and moving too.

But what would Harry's list be like? Maybe he can tell Ruth when they're walking in the rain...

I know, in a way, that they are only fictitious characters, but Ruth's list makes her seem very real: I read Voltaire and Virgil but watch Ant and Dec. There are many people who like contradictory things like that. I'm one of them.

Great ficlet. One for Harry to ponder whilst he's cocooned in the body bag! The tone of the letter was very Ruth, as was her dropping the letter out of her handbag as she dithered. I was impressed by Harry's skim reading prowess - I always knew he would be a fast mover once the opportunity presented itself!

a really nice fluffy fic - just what we needed after epsidoe 8 and all that angst.

Lovely scene between Harry and Ruth and of course, Harry read what she wrote ( I would have too) - her letter reminded me of both Adrian Mole and Bridget Jones and made me laugh out loud. Glad that Harry is there to prove that life does not end at 38 and a half. ;) Well, it definitely looks as if her days as a singleton are over now.
