Finally a Winchester Thanksgiving includes all of the Winchester men. This was a great chapter. I loved how John identified with the family they were protecting, and how he realises at the end how much he, and his boys needed a time without fighting. Great chapter!

I like that John is brought back into the story for this, even if it is as a patient, and he can't be there when they eat. He tries so hard to do whats best for his boys, but he doesn't know what is best. Not without Mary. Speaking of, I loved how you brought the memories of her into this. Dean's description of Thanksgiving with her made the chapter. I loved the whole thing. Great job!

I love that even though Sam is older and not quite as dependant on needeing Dean to help him with everything, he still knows that Dean will never forget what's important to him. And I love that Dean goes to any length to get Sammy something he can eat for Thanksgiving. This is a great chapter!

I love the trust that you show in this chapter. Sammy has been and always will be Dean's first priority, and I like that Sam knows this, but tries to get Dean to see that he is Sam's first priority too. I'm always suprised by how blind-sided Dean gets when people tell him that they care about him too. He is so underappriciated that he never thinks about himself. Good job.

Sad that John couldn't make it home, but it was so cute that Dean put together a "Winchester Thanksgivin'" for them. I was smiling though this whole chapte. You did a great job of giving the boys just the right amount of emotion, and the end part when they are talking about how Dean got the pie, was soo Dean. He woul use his "charm". That hasn't changed at all.

This is a great example of total family angst. It made me want to cry so hard. Poor John, he's so confused and scared for his family. And little Dean who is so different would break anyones heart. Reading this you can almost see John shut down, and it gives a reason to cut him some slack for becoming a drill sargeant. Nobody would be able to stand that much pain. You wrote this amazingly well.

AW! I love three-year-old Dean! He is the cutest thing ever!

I loved how at the beginning of this Mary refers to Sam as Bigfoot. It made me laugh, but also made me sad because she's never going to get to see how right she is. I also loved how Sam and Dean already have a connection in this story. I could totally picture little Dean talking to his mommy's stomach to get Sammy to agree that "pun'kin" pie is the best. Very cute.

I love this. It's so great to see a cute little story mainly about John and Mary, and it's so nice to see them in a natural setting. I love their relationship, and I think you worte it perfectly. You tapped into John's soft side so well that I had an amazingly hard time picturing him as the hardcore drill sargeant he seems to be in the show. Great job!

I just caught up with this story and have been close to tears a number of times. Pretty impressive considering my friends think I have the emotional range of a brick wall. I think season five will provide an interesting background for a thanksgiving review. I hope you think about it. Funny how you picked up Dean's sentiment that Sammy isn't always much fun. Once again your story brought tears, of both saddness and laughter to my eyes. I don't know how you do it, but you have the ability with your stories to bring out the best and worst of our boys. Are you sure you're not one of the writers of the show? It seems like you should be. :)

I loved the dynamic you had in some of the chapter-how they were all feeling the same thing. It could have been cheesy to have them have the same thoughts, and feelings, but the way you wrote it... I think it did more to reinforce the idea that no matter how different the three of them may be, they are family, and they are more alike than they realize.

I also love how you tied something as simple as pie into everything, and gave it a much more symbolic meaning. It was adorable how it started with Dean still in the womb, and just kind of blossomed from there. I don't think I'll ever be able to look at pie the same way again. ;)

Bobby is TOTALLY MY FAVORITE CHARACTER! I KNEW staying to finish this was a good idea. :P

I totally want to copy/paste half of the quotes and quips in here, but I'll just settle for saying that I LOVE this story. And this chapter. I think this and the first one were my favorites.

Bobby just makes everything better though, doesn't he? And pie. Always pie.
