I assume this takes place before the Drapers got married, or very shortly after -- I like how unsure of herself Betty is. She really is, when it comes down to it, whatever other people want her to be, and I think her primary conflict is trying to figure out who /she/ wants herself to be. Bringing in her chronic hand numbness worked beautifully here, especially when tying it in with something as emotionally loaded as touching hands. Your portrayal of her as a victim worked really well. Nice work!
