So very bittersweet. I feel all romantic and xmassy now!

I wonder why the bittersweet stories feel like Christmas to me.

I enjoyed this immensely. I love the contrast of innocence with Jack and Ianto's relationship. I love the image of the little girl walking home and seeing Ianto's declaration. I loved this part:

Harkness walked towards his lover. “Hey why the long face?”

“Genetics,” Ianto replied. “But I always thought, personally, that it was more round than long.”

I like a little humor. It makes the angst go down easier. Thanks for sharing.

I can't decide whether this is incredibly sad or very fluffy. It was a beautiful piece but I can't help but feel for Ianto, why should he accept he is Jack's second option...persoanlly Jack needs a kick up the arse for making him feel that way.
Loved reading it though well done.
