Hm, this was last updated on my birthday (haha). Anyway, I really like this story and I hope you didn't discontinue it! I love all of the stories that I've read so far from you (and eventually I'll go back and review the ones I've read). I like the vampire!L idea, and there are a ton of vampire DN fics on this site, but I can't say that I've liked all of them, but I do like this one. ...even with it's Twilight references, which I barely noticed, but I thought they worked. :)

I'm reviewing before even having read this chapter, because I read the top, and got equally annoyed. I have barely seen ANY similarities to Twilight! There was only that reference, in my eyes, and I don't see why people should take offense. Even if this WAS a Twilight:DN adaption, this is fanfiction, and it's perfectly allowed; it's not as if you're forcing people to read it. And if they didn't complain it was too much like Twilight until after that single damned reference, then they're being pathetic because seriously? How far into the story are we now?

No, I'm sorry, I'm not a Twilight fan, nor do I hate it (I only believe it gets too much publicity for something that's only average quality, but that's another story) so that really bugs me too. I started working on a vampire fan ficition a long time ago (I'm not proud of it, but it's really popular O_O) and someone said something similar, and yeah, it's stupid.

That aside now, let's talk about the story here. It's fan-freaking-tastic ^_^ I absolutely love it, especially the banter between L and Light, not to mention the plot is enthralling. I find a good story is the sort that keeps you guessing and struggling to work out how the puzzle fits together, and your story does that brilliantly. I almost think this is well written enough to be a regular novel. So, overall, I'll be sticking around, and if you scrap it because of some asshole reviewers, I shall personally hunt them down and murder them, savvy? Good Death Note fics (with a plot, and that aren't just, L and Light chained together fics, because there's way too many of those) are fairly hard to find, and I would definitely reccommend this one. This is part of a now treasured collection; please keep putting your all into it, and don't be bothered by people who can't respect opinions.

XD jk. just had to do that. I love this whole fanfic especially since I'm into anything vampire. Why does Lighto get to be a halfy? Halfies are cool and Lighto's not. But L is a full fledged vampire *fangirl squeal* Btw does Mattikins have some special role in this? Cuz he's only been mentioned once and I'm just wondering about that.

Doesn't the fact that L could erase Lighto-brighto's memories mean that they're already married? Rolf. Married!

And wasn't Lighto just a bit of a drama queen in the last segment? He's the only one who's been flipping out. He's like "oh I'm so different." an' den 'e's like, "oh everything else is different" but I guess that's just how Lighto is...

I dunno Lighto's problem, I like it when L avoids his questions. It's quite amusing.

I've also noticed that everywhere I turn, there are OC's. Try to keep it to a minimum and describe them more.

So all in all loved it! Keep up the good work :D

How can one writer produce so many original, amazing stories? No, really. I haven't once been able to go someones profile, close my eyes, and randomly pick a story while having it be just as amazing as the one before or after. Your writing is a serious gift. You should really write a book of your own. You've really earned your title as my favorite writer on here, now.

That made me a little aggravated, honestly. I know all about Twilight, being in the main age group all the fans are in, and I despise it with the core of my soul. Hell, I don't even really like vampire stories all that much. But if all vampire (or vampire-romance) stories were like this, I'd definitely be a huge fan. The people who chose to disregard how awesome your story is just to point out that this is too much like twilight are completely ignorant. You're right to be angry at people like that, and there are no hard feelings in a late update.
Anyways, great story. You've got me on a role with this. I'm on a marathon with your stuff, right now. You have me wondering a lot about whats going to happen next. It's a rewarding experience, reading your stuff. I'll work on writing a more well-rounded critique next time, too, for you. :3 < 3

Naw, poor Raito! It must be incredably frustrating, not to mention terrifying to not remember your past and I think you've portrayed that really well.

eep. (feels bad for not reviewing this story sooner) I love the insults Raito has for L in the chapter! I cracked up at most of them, especially when he calls L a ridiculous buffoon. The eye changing thing seems so familiar to me, but I can't place it. I remember eyes turning black, like in the book/tv series Blood Ties, but not to a bright color. I don't hate you for inserting Twilight references. It is quite corny to have L say such a line, and I laugh now that I think back about reading it. I actually think your reference pokes fun at Twilight rather than support it. Maybe it's just me that thinks that. I'm eagerly awaiting your next update for this one, or any of your stories. I feel exactly like Raito, waiting for the mystery to unfold, but I'm sure that's exactly what you wanted you sneaky author you. Wow, this is possibly the longest review I've ever written. However, yes, there is a point to my rambling. I still love your writing, I don't think any less of you for inserting Twilight refs, please don't be discouraged to continue writing this fic. (:
