Aw, first-person Leon. That's nice to read, when done well anyway. And it goes without saying that this was done well. But that's kind of rare, so it makes this piece seem really special. These two are so perfect when you write them, it's almost unbearable. But I love it! The "just Cloud" thing was very sweet. :)

I'm not the greatest fan of 1st person usually, but this here is just too gorgeous for it to matter. That 3rd paragraph from the end - the 'it feels like slow motion' one - that's beautiful, and at the end of it you somehow manage to define what it is to be Leon in something under a dozen words.

I really enjoyed this - it seems so like them, that they couldn't form words, but didn't necessarily need them. Their actions and eyes say everything. There was something very.. comfortable about this story, like you could just feel it. Great job.
