Cute story, very well written and a good one at Christmas time. I noticed how you used dialect even when the charactors weren't talking and you did it well, not too much but enough to give it that rustic Firefly energy. You did the charactors right and a Kaylee and Jayne connection makes sense. I like seeing how Jayne thinks of Kaylee here, with reverence, not trying to push himself on her but patient and hoping things will swing his way with kindness of a gift, although he's certainly still gruff Jayne. Well done.
