"She has never made things easy. But she has made them possible."

What a beautiful thought. The weight of hope against all odds really is a lot to bear but love can conquer all. :D

Wow, this was beautifully written and very poignant. Great job. This is such a well written fanfic and...gosh! It just makes me love Taang even more! Awesome job. ^_^

That was really good! Clever, the way you tied Toph's way of pushing him with the whole reincarnation idea...great work!

Great to hear back form you again! And with another great story.
The heaviness and seriousness you exposed in the future's situation is so true. Once again you provided great inside to a great show!
I really liked the line "The sky is so heavy and he is so small." Clever of you to compare Aang's greatest freedom (the sky) to something restraining. Well done.

Happy New Year!

Aww! That's sweet. ^_^

And that's an interesting realization that no one else has really worked with: Aang realizing that it's not over by wisdom, not by events. Very interesting.

And of course, the subtle reff to the Kummi-Taang theory is awesome. ^_^

...I wrote a short story based on that too. Here on

This was nice. It's been so long since I've read any Avatar, so this was a good reminder of how good the show (and your fics) used to be.

I'm looking forward to see any of your future works.

Such a beautiful fic. I love how maturely you portray Aang, and how you kept Toph in character with her rough form of support/comfort. And I never thought of Aang's duty the way you described - I knew he would have to work at putting things back together, but I never realized he would have to do so FOREVER. The reincarnation thing is easy to forget.

Anyway, wonderful job. I really missed reading your stuff. :3

Aw-w-w-w-w!! So Taang. Kept this in perspective yet with a romantic nonromance (if you get what I mean).

Yes! The Queen of Avatar Fanfiction is back! It's been so long since I got to enjoy a new creation of yours, and this story clearly shows you have not lost your touch. I absolutely love it. Many people fail to realize that ending the war was only half the battle; all the old grievances and prejudices still remain, and it will take an indefinite amount of years for that to be absolved. And then, when you take into account human nature (as you correctly pointed out) it seems like a nigh impossible task. All of these epiphanies come crashing down on Aang's head at once, and to call it overwhelming would be an understatement.

But the last few sentences of this story sum things up quite nicely:

And she tugs him into one, strong, wordless embrace that somehow says everything. It is exactly the same thing she has always said. It is exactly the same thing that she has never really needed to say, in the thousand lifetimes that she has accompanied him before this.

“Keep going. You've got the stuff. I'm right here beside you.”

He tries once more to breathe, and finds that he can.

She has never made things easy.

But she has made them possible.

(Such is the nature of love, after all.)

And *that*, my friend, is why I ship Taang. Because they *fit*. Whenever Aang feels like giving up because of the huge burden placed on his small shoulders, Toph gives him that extra push to keep going. She teaches him to be strong and solid, like a rock; to never back down. You demonstrate this concept so beautifully in your stories, at times it brings me to tears. Thank you so much for this.

Very well done! I see I made the right choice in subscribing to you, that the one well written story was not a flub, and that you are a good writer, and your stories, though short, say enough in small amounts that it does not matter that they take awhile to be made ^^ And even though I do not ship Taang, this is a respectable ship, especially after reading your stories. :]

Oh, wow. I have definitely missed your stories (I haven't written anything new in a while either, though, so it's not like I have room to talk). Anyway, as always, this is excellent. Wars don't end in one day, and of course Aang needs help getting through all the stuff he needs to get through.

Keep Writing.
