Your writing is very good (and there are only a few grammatical mistakes).
My principal problem with this story is its cohesion. There seem to be too many threads going on for such a short story. Edward history, Alice/ Jasper, Carlisle/Bella love interest, Volturi people, Bella's dynamic illness, it's confusing! I think this story would be seriously improved if you shaved the unnecessary pieces out.

For Athenadora's death, I'm glad, because I didn't like all the wives of the Volturi brothers, except maybe Didyne who should be really sweet.

So now Carlisle faced up his feelings for Bella, will he act or will he stay prudent because of Marcus warning ?
