This is simply amazing. Now I know you must hear that word a lot concerning this story, but I really, really mean it.

Your characterization of the Joker--it's flawless. It's like Christopher Nolan was writing this himself, it's pure brilliance, you know that?

There were a WHOLE bunch of awesome quotes from the Joker in here too. I enjoyed them all. Especially this one: '“No decision. No anonymity. No spontaneity. People in this city are like...sheep. All you have to do is put in one wolf and the flock scurries wherever I want them to go. Mediocrity gets so tedious after a while.”' I mean wow, that was jsut great.

And oh my goodness, the ending? It was so excellently written. It was suspenful and unpredictable, just like the Joker. I loved the last three lines in this chapter, you tied them together so well. It was awesome. Purely awesome.

I'm so blown away right now. Everything was great. The Joker's tone, manner of speech, everything you did to depict him the way you did. Great, great job.

Sincerely,

Hey there, friend! Again, I'm sorry for the delay on my review-**'s been crazy here recently. ^^; But I'm finally getting around to answering all my chapter alert emails! And yours was at the top of the list.

So! Now Joker and Batsy are facing off. On a rooftop. At night. Damn. It really does feel like a movie here. I even have the popcorn. (XD Went to the movies yesterday to watch 'Ft13th') Who will win?

I enjoyed the sequence at the beginning-the flashback to the murder of Grady and his wife. It really grabbed a hold of me. As usual, the Joker handled it in his same manner. Taking 'em out with a bang. He broke the man, so that death was like a sweet release for him. And without even laying a hand on him. Deliciously twisted.

I have to wonder now, though...who's the kid? Or, more precisely-what happened to the kid? Little Libby? Will we find out later on? Because I found it very interesting how Joker tried to handle the situation with her peeking in. Was it a last shred of humanity? Or did he have other reasons for taking her away...? I'm quite curious now.

Oh, and of course-Sweetheart. So the pretty angel is back. And she has a name, too. Heh-I got a kick out of Joker's comment on how Newcomer was most likely a virgin who didn't know a thing about sex. The foreplay bit really cracked me up-he'd probably gouge out her eyes. Ahh...a boy after my own heart. XD

But damn if the Joker isn't the perceptive one! I would think that stuff like romance wouldn't really show up on his radar. Guess I was wrong. Oh well.

Poor Gordon, though-he wants to do something so badly, but he's not allowed to. Not unless he wants everything to go to Hell in a handbasket. How nerve-wracking that must be. To have so many lives on the line...and you're forced to put your trust in somebody who the public is divided against. But, I suppose to stop madness...one must join it. Like fighting fire with fire.

As usual, I enjoyed the demon/angel analogies. Especially when told from Newcomer's POV. It really does make this tale all the more appealing. But yes, I agree with him-I wouldn't want to be a demon, either.

So. Another spectacular chapter completed, with a cliffhanger that's got me all fired up for the next installment. I can only begin to imagine what you have in store for us next time.

'hugs' Much love to you, my friend. Have fun on your trip, and good luck with moving in. Don't worry-I will most DEFINITELY still be here...patiently awaiting your next update. :)

Ahh! Cliffy! No!

Kah. So I loved how you wrote the memory at the beginning, even if I'm not sure what it was about. Obviously a murder, but I really have to know what happened to that little girl! Are you going to let us know or is uit just one of those things well never find out?

Looking forward to next chapter and good luck moving in with your boyfriend. Its always a little scary, but totally worth it!

Wait. What's going to happen? Agh! Those flippin cliffhangers!

Okay so I'm a little confused by the memory at the beginning part. What happened to the little girl? But other than that - it was wonderfully written (as always).

Looking forwardto next chapter.

Well, well, well...another stunning chapter.

Sorry it took so long to review-I've been totally buried in work. But I have returned! Victorious! XD For now, anyway.

I simply LOVE the sequences with Joker. We're really getting a good look into his mind. And it's not a pretty place. It's prefect. It's Hell and memories and madness and suppression-all rolled into one. I applaud you for pulling it off so convincingly. :)

The bit between him and Raymond really made my skin crawl. Yet another one of his famous 'scar stories'. I liked that one though...maybe because I'm a sucker for twisted romances? 'shrugs' Even if it's just another crock of bull. Then again...you never know.

Oh man...so now, Arkham Asylum is gone. Joker is on the loose. And he wants to play. With his army of fallen angels...will Batman be able to step up to the challenge?

Great job, friend. I shall be awaiting your next update eagerly. :D 'hug'
