I liked it. Everyone was in character, and I could see that happening on the show. I don't think the ending as that bad, sure it was a little cliche, but that's ok. Great job!

I still watch King of Queens and I happened to look at the stories written. It's a shame that there are only a few, but this story was really nice!

The way you wrote it-I was imagining Doug and Carrie, as if this were an episode.

Ive seen this show's reruns countless times, and I admit this is definitely different. I respect the perspective and the differences though.

As for the ending, I would have written something like this... "Carrie - you aren't the one that should feel like a moron. I am. I shouldn't have said all that crap. It's not your fault you lost your job."

"Yeah but you were right. I should have been looking for a new job the day after I lost mine."

"Care - we're going to be ok. I sent my jacket back."

"Doug - I'm sorry too..."

(They hug, and then break apart.)

"I'm sorry for acting crazy. You're great. In fact - the next time you feel unimportant, remember your husband is a package delivery monkey - eh? Come on - ya feel better?"

(Disappointed at the realization of her life, she stares blankly at Doug) "Actually no..."

"You'll be fine. Now lets get some sleep."

"I love you, Doug."

"I love you, too."
