I like this, I mean I REALLY like this. I just wish Kal-El wasn't getting back with Lois. I'm not a fan of the Clark/Lois relationship all that much, especially the movieverse one; she feels connected to Superman and clearly not Clark. Its strange how movieverse!Superman seems more alien than all the other incarnations, the Clake persona doesn't seem all there; I guess it's the 5 year separation.
But either way, this is a lovely story and well written too. And I like how you allowed Kal to have another option other than Lois.
And methinks the something coming from Argo City would be Kara Zor-El, hopefully you handle her character with care.

Well this is hands down the BEST superman story ever, I just ask dont take Valia way from Kal'El. I mean maybe New Krypton could be close and with them being a fast then light travaling race they could live on earth and Valia could still go see here family and we could have our Superman/Superwoman Heros. (which with your writing you could make a story of there life after they settle down a bit)

Ah! That's so romantic! Superman SO needed this, especially after all the madness with Lois!

WOW! That's quite a climax! The visual of the severed body spinning into the sun is very clear, and the last moments very direct.

After such a bitter return to Metropolis, I tink Clark will think that he'd be much happier among fellow Kryptonians.
