I LOVED this story, prefering the first chapter!
You so captured season 4 and chap 1 was SO hard to read...it was like watching season4!brothers and their issues all over again...*sighs* But I love the way you described them...
And...gosh..."Go to hell Dean!"...I didn't see that one comin'...horrible!And than that car crashin' into Dean and all the angst...You have a great writing style and you really captured the character of season 4,like I said.

"He had been pushing, feeling the need to be in control again, even with Dean back. Dean taking the lead, falling into his role as protector, a role Sam had, unwillingly at first, inherited after his brother’s death. It was strangely difficult to accept or relinquish control."
--> That's exactly what I'm thinking...the change of Sam's personality in season 4,being Sam and not Sammy anymore and so on! Brilliant!

Also like the way you brought Cas into the story. I almost cried when he told Sam about Dean praying in hell..

Despite all the angst and hurt!dean and brotherly issues, there is also enough humor..."Robin my ass"...Dude, that made me laugh my butt off!Seriously! *rofl*

I know i'm so reviewing this story late and I've read it countless times but I just need to tell you my absolute favorite line of any story EVER was " Were they talking about Dean? His Dean? Dean who had been hit full force by a speeding SUV?" xD Loved it!

Oh! I had another "I wanna smack Sam" moment here! LOL For him to suggest that, when he KNOWS how much Dean treasures their little Christmas' together(and how much he HATES demons!), is just insensitive, and (maybe unintentionally)cruel and clueless.
I think the flippant, thoughtless remark he made to Dean probably says a lot about Sammy's current state of mind and the toll the four months without Dean has had on him. It was THE worst thing to say to Dean at this point in time... but the sad thing is, the pre-Dean-goes-to-hell Sammy would never had said that in anger to Dean in the first place. Sam's went through some serious ~crap~ while Dean was away, and it really took something drastic to set his head straight again. Go Castiel!(LOVE him!) OMG Dean's prayers! Brilliant! This was just a brilliant, super well thought-out fic!

(...and Ruby's evil! I hope there's going to be more to follow this fic, because Ruby SO needs to get her smart-ass kicked! (or rather I guess it's limp/boring/mousy-ass if it's the 'new' Ruby. She's just so... eww! :P )

Great story...and oh how I wish we would get something like this on the show...having the brother hurt each other I don't like...hoepfully with the 5 season a go they will have them back together again but than again when has anything every worked out for the boys...anyways back to your story...loved the chick flick bit and the "You were practically weaned on morphine, Dean. Your blood is probably made up of fifty percent ‘bullshit’ … and the other fifty percent morphine.” great line

The conversation between Sam and Castiel was near perfect. I love you explanation as to why Dean was freed from Hell.

I enjoyed this...I'd like to see something like that happen on the show. Good job.

ohh...glad you finished it...had me a bit worried already ;-) Sorry for the late review...you know, the "temporary glitch"... great story! I like your stories because they are so intense without being "too much" (do i make sense??) and they are still a bit funny and easy to read... So, great work, as always!

My love for this fic just grew and grew : D Some wonderful fluff and a nice dose of h/c Dean. I loved Castiel's conversation with Sam, his choice of Bible verse, and putting the fear of God into Ruby, mwahaha! Awesome piece of work!

Once again, a brilliant ending to a super story Mish. Man, I love it when you deliver that sucker-punch which as usual serves to underline the danger those boys are in.
I seriously can't wait for your new story ... just don't make me have to wait too long ... or the kitty gets it OK!! ROFL

Loved the vibe between Sam and Cas; we've haven't seen a lot of the two of them together on screen but I really like the edge you gave their interaction.

L-O-V-E-D the scene between Cas and Ruby - there's a part of me that really needed Ruby to be put on notice that messing with Sam or Dean has consequences. A big hug and thanks for fulfilling that need.

Still snickering over loopy's Dean unique way of saying 'Thanks.' Hee!

Great brother moments too. And like I said - Sam and Dean talking, and to each other. *Another happy sigh* :)
