2009-07-30 . chapter 24
So I haven't been able to read any stories lately, but I finally found the time to catch up on this story.

As usual, Excelent job! I just love you American foursome, you've done a great job at showing their different personalities.

The story was great as well, I absolutly loved the George/Rosa story line. It broke my heart having to read about Rosa leaving.

I would love to see a story where George makes Jimmy stick to the bet with Fred for whenever Ron/Hermione get married. I also liked how Jimmy kept guessing relationships, and not very well.

In all this story was great, with one exception. It's probably only bugging me since I was in the military, but that line of George's where he's talking about how it's a war going on and they don't know what might happen, well that really bugged me just because I don't think George meant it in a bad way, but because I have heard that lined used by Sailor's and Marines more times then I care to count.

But on that note I look forward to starting to read the next one :)

I feel so bad I've neglected your stories. I didn't realize how insane my June was going to be But I'm carving out time for writing and fanfiction again! (...hopefully, this means getting back to Daphne, but, again, I keep hitting writers block with it. Star Trek's at least coming out smoothly...)

Well done with these last two chapters. Some things got resolved, and you left open the cliffhanger ending here. Can't wait to start on the sequel.

Again, your work with the canon characters, particularly the Weasleys, is just wonderful. I really love reading Jimmy's POV on everything, from the teenage life at Hogwarts to girls, to death and leadership. Really did an outstanding job with the development of his character.

And Mireet! I'm glad you brought her back in, not as a Jimmy flashback but physically she's back in the picture. And good job with the quickflash recapping of HBP; you threw in a mention of my Ravenclaw boys--always a good thing--and snarked a bit on certain odd canon couples *coughDramionecough* And the emotional responses here at the end with Jimmy finding out that Dumbledore died dovetails very nicely to HBP.

And, I assume, the sequel to this story!!

Great work, sir. Now, I shall go back to my sports news and keep an eye out for Rasheed Wallace Celtics jerseys!

Well, damn George. Just... damn!

George knows how to sweep a very special girl, like Rosa, off of her feet. What a (closet!) romantic. And I loved the feel of this chapter, how close the O'Bannon team and the Brits have become. The conversation with Fred and Jimmy was so nice, sweet without becoming too cloying, and very much in character. I couldn't help but think that a W shop could do great on Newbery St. or Brookline. Just sayin' ;-)

This chapter actually made me feel like DH and MB are both true prequels to Shadows of the Past also, just how the characters really felt like true friends, comrades. Not saying that your other works didn't have that, but I definitely felt it in this chapter. Very, very good work with the creation of your American wizarding world and having the British canon characters care about them.

I'll hopefully finish this story very soon. Star Trek, work and crummy basketball are taking up the time for the moment. I was just worried that the Lakers were going to walk away with the championship all easy-like. Thank goodness the Magic's making them work for it... well, a little bit!

You did a good job describing the impact that Dumbledore's death had on the wizards everywhere, not just England. I'm really impressed. Waiting for In The Grip Of Darkness.

The cows and how they used them... man, did that make me feel bad for the poor, doe-eyed livestock.

Good ramp-up to the end here, and glad they could get Art to St. Mungo's. I definitely hope Jimmy learns his lesson--as soon as you know you need to apologize, you bloody apologize. You don't wait around for a life-threatening attack by bloodthirsty creatures who jeopardize the entire well-being of your world.

The Trekkie in me kind of loves the "red-shirt" aurors who've been the main casualties. With the exception of Amos Diggory, of course. I just love that we see two aurors come in to fight... only to become the latest meal for the Chupacabra. Roddenberry would be proud!

Great work. I'm still reading :-D I'm totally unfamiliar with NCIS, and I see you've started writing in that fandom too. Maybe I need to add that to my ever-expanding Netflix queue.

I cannot believe you've finished this story! And I cannot believe that I've let myself fall behind in reading it.

Okay, Artimus' injuries scare me, but I love how you wrote the reactions of the others. I can really feel the tension building up here. Jared and Jimmy trying to keep him up, trying to keep him going got to me bad. You can feel their friendship coming through. And I let out a triumphant fistpump when Bill, the twins and Rosa showed up. Talk about calvary.

And man! The cliffhanger here at the end. Again! Your action sequences never stop, do they? That's not a complaint, by any means.

At least I've got good stories to read, even if I have to deal with crappy standings in the AL East and a lack of basketball. Thanks for another great chapter! I'll catch up, I swear!

Well, it seems very real that they wouldn't be too glad to part with their new comrades. I laughed at Jared's wish to take and keep all girls he can. And I'm glad that Rosa and her Aunt reconciled. I feel a little sorry for poor Jimmy, though - he's in for one shock after another!

Great way to end the story, makes me want the next one right now. I'm gonna be waiting anxiously for it now.

Love how you did Jimmy's reactions to the news coming from Hogwarts, especially about Dumbledore at the end. And I'm upset Jimmy and Mireet haven't gotten together, but I at least understand why Jimmy's reluctant.

Neat cliffhanger ending and dynamite set-up for the next story, enough so that I'm not even going to pick on you for the typos (at least not tonight).

Well, I am FINALLY going to crash out. I've been up for about 28 hours and I'm losing any sanity I may have left. I guess I'll start dreaming up Chapter 29 (or at least fleshing it out).

Hope the rest of your week goes great.

Really good chapter, I'm glad Rosa and her aunt worked everything out. And, yay! Mireet's back! I had a feeling she'd show up...

Liked the chapter. I think you handled the parting emotions quite well. Loved the "oh, crap!' break up between Talia and Mireet. I'm sure the break-up stays that way, but I don't think Jimmy is such a jerk as to not try to explain things (without mentioning the wizarding world, of course) to Talia. I'm dying to see how you handle that one.

Have a great week.

Another great chapter and I'm really glad Artimus made it through alive. Again, I think I'd be like Jimmy in this chapter...Even though it was over, I'd still be expecting something to happen...

Can't wait for the next chapter.
