...Omg, I think I love you... xD
This is the most beautiful and well-written one-shot ever... I somehow... ended up teary-eyed... xD Argh, I've never experienced that before. The story is so intense and sweet and... and just perfect ;A; (And it gave me an instant urge to turn it into a doujinshi XD) I will vow to be your eternally faithful slave if only you write more stories like this - I think it made my heart melt with joy XD It's funny, eloquent, and just extremely lovely. I don't do that many reviews and I'm not very good at it, but I just wanted to let you know how wonderful I think you are and thank you :3 This was an extremely enjoyable read, and I encourage you to do more in the future :D

Ah! Sierra-san! Excellent work |3 I love how you involved Sayu in the story. The tiny interactions that fit so well in the story. What a great feeling |)And you can always bring out the best part of jack ass in L XD "Convenient, isn't it?"

I love - I love - this line:

"Yet, what about the things that aren't in your control?"
"That's easy," L punctuated, and the ferocity of his words contrasted the smile he wore. "Take control."

Take control wow... of course this is L. And this is why I look up to him. It also nearly has the same impact as "Liars. Liars like us".

And the words all about never being fully happy, because having everything means there's nothing left to live for... intense. Beautifully intense. Thanks for another brilliant fic. I adore that you can add these charas to festivities I love :3 Such good LxL at the end |)

Hiya!

Sorry for taking a bit with this...I've been as busy as you this week. *worked 40 hours last week, bleh*

*smile* You're slowly working your way through the holidays, aren't you? There's an angst fic or two to be had in Valentine's Day...Just a moment. *scribbles down an idea with Misa* I like how you tied New Year's into Light's dream - it's very appropriate. New hopes, new possiblities - the day when no one can forget that the future is coming. I'd never thought about it in the context of Light before, but I tend to not notice holidays much.

I love Light and Sayu! I have a weakness about the size of New Jersey for sibling cuteness, and Light, for all the god complex and mass murdering, is a very adorably good sibling. I love how Sayu teases him...and Light wanting to defend her is adorable.

Gah, L is fantastic. The section with him and Sayu makes me laugh so hard... "This girl clearly has no survival instinct." *snickers* Nice. I love how L is flirting with Light, just to freak him out. L's manner, like always, is calculated to throw people off balance and irritate them into doing something stupid. It's aslo fun, even when the other person is in on the game. Especially so, because Light can play back.

I like how they still end up in a philosophical debate, regardless of the situation. Their characters really shine through - Light is the believing as far as it's socially acceptable, L is the scientist who searches for truth.

The ending section... I know why it's there, but it feels a bit forced. There isn't quite enough leading to it, I like it, but it doesn't quite work. The dialog feels scripted. I realize it's supposed to be phrased like a vow, but why would they be making it? Why would L play along, and why would he be so emotionally honest at this point? I can see that during the handcuff arc, but not before. The kiss, too, seems to come out of no where. It does feel kind of out of place, really.

I do like how it everything focuses on Light and L in the end. The setting is very vivid, and works perfectly - everything does revolve around them, after all.

There are a few typos skittered about - in the first paragraph, both the first and last sectence read like they're missing a word, and in the last paragraph there's a tense issue or two. But those are minor, really.

I like this quite bit, though the ending is a bit weak. Still, nicely done.

:D yay, a new one!

"Oh, no. I was merely wondering if I'd get slapped if I made any moves on you tonight."

...totally unexpected, for me too; and yet it's something L would so say xD, why didn't I see this coming? xD

I'd say the kiss was also unexpected, but a pleasant surprise, of course :P

the bell really rings 108 times? I'd go crazy from trying to count that!

happy holidays to you too!

Aww, so festive and lovely!

Your Light and Sayu banter sounds perfectly canon. Really, I just loved it. So cute, and just right on the mark!

Favorite part was the line: "He was, after all, L's favorite friend - the kind of friend who you watched shower via hidden video cameras while searching for a reason to execute him." Yes. That wins so hard.

Also, your symbolism is as impressive as always.

Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!

Very enthralling. Your writing style is so spell-binding it's almost impossible to look away to anything else. (Even when a pesky little brother is tapping your shoulder incessantly)I'll tell you the truth--I hate L/Light. In my opinion, they are a very incongruous pairing--for reasons I can complain endlessly about. But despite that, I quite enjoyed the witty language and realism this evoked, and that is the mark of a great writer. ^ ^ Although, there were several grammatical errors towards the end of the fic, you got your message across quite nicely. The kiss, considering how I feel about the pairing, threw me off, but I guess no harm done. This is, after all, a L/Light fic. But enough of my rambling. Hope you have a happy new year and thanks for writing this. ^ ^

"What we want is to live with such vigor until the nothingness doesn't come until we're dead." There's my new year's resolution in a nutshell. Although shouldn't the first "until" be "that"? Anyway, love this one. Per usual. :) Light and L's interactions in public settings always remind me of a kind of treacherous dance. It was also interesting to add to the myriad bell connotations in this anime! Now I've got to go look up what the 108 sins are... Thank you for writing this!

This is amazing :D You never cease to amaze me!

I find the mental image of Light killing Hideki Ryuuga for the purposes of protecting Sayu hilarious XD As well as the prospect of Sayu having a sex life...and the image of L offering her candy.

The symbolism again, awes me. I find it fascinating that you can jump around through themes without getting off topic. And yes, I DID notice the 108 thing! XD

WRITE MOAR! :D ME WANTS MOAR!

he unfortunately had little time to celebrate in his own vigilante way. -> Cute

she said forced ignorance and motivation both as she stirred the soba noodles -> Typo

I like how much of a typical big brother Light is with Sayu. Also, your humour.
