Ow... That was painfully good. Simple and elegant, yet the characterizations were right on. Amazing.

I have to admit, it took me a second reading of Notes A & B to get those bits, but other than that . . . still as well written as always, and it leaves me a little depressed at the end (though that was the purpose, no?) Anyway, great job again.
