 microtig 2009-01-17 . chapter 1Brilliant story.
Though I have to say I liked the beggining better than the end and giggled when Eleanor said she wanted to gaze on the prince's "manliness". That conversation was just a bit too trite for my taste.
Loved the way you interwove Cinderella with such originality. The fact that she's a seamstress and wove her own dress for the ball reminds me of the Cap o'rushes tale, which I love too.
The way you suggested that she was happier with her father than as the wife of a wealthy prince injects a delicious drop of bittersweetness that evens the whole story out. |
Springrain 2009-01-09 . chapter 1I've enjoyed these few fairy tales you've posted recently. They're too understated to be cheery, but are simply lovely written and true. |
zagato 2009-01-01 . chapter 1Hi! Thank you for writing! Please write more. |
 vanderspektacular 2009-01-01 . chapter 1Loved it--again. You're wonderful. |
Mikure 2008-12-30 . chapter 1I truly love this retelling of Cinderella--it just makes so much more sense! And I love how in the end, it's hinted that she was the happiest in the beginning with her father, and not as the wife of a prince she barely knew. Good job! ;) |
Nytd 2008-12-30 . chapter 1Another fine fairly tale, Indigo.
Lovley take on the origin of the Cinderella story with your own original touches. Once again I was sorry to come to the end of the tale that held me captivated from beginning to finish.
Nicely done!
