Ohhh... :'( I loved it!

That was sad... Near has always been a favorite character of mine... Very good job, laughing in a hotel lobby, the next minute, sniffling with a great big Awwwwww T.T

This is the best L/Near fiction I've ever read... You totally captured their attitudes... I wish they've met in Death Note... Unfortunately, I've read in the manga that L never really met the kids from the orphanage except what he usually do: speaking through a laptop with the L on the screen... (

One thing I wish the Death Note series consisted; Conversation between Near, L, and Mello.

It was just needed. And I absolutely LOVE this. Beyond words, I've never liked a one shot so much before o_o'' this one, as said by another reviewer, is just heart-wrenching, I cant put my fingure on it, WHY its heart-wrenching, but it just is nice job, I'm inspired by you're work 8'D

This one is just /heart-wrenching/, and I can't even figure out why. ;_;

The second-worst lack in the series was that we never saw L, Near and Mello interact; this is a fascinating possible version of that missed opportunity. I like the idea of L and Near provoking each other, sparring with words and logic, not necessarily with affection but (maybe grudging) respect. I enjoyed and was intrigued by this fic because of how you portrayed their relationship.

(The first-worst lack in the series was, of course, L's ending. One reason the movies rock. Still not ideal, but better.)

PS: And I like that L told Mello he'd live. That seems a very L, and L-to-Mello, thing to do.
