Amazing tag to a very unsatisfying ending of that episode! Loved it!

Thanks a lot for writing this story! It always annoyed me that they seemed to leave Det. Sheppard in the desert, alone and dying... Sending a team there to extract him would have been the logical solution, so I'm very glad you did it.
I love the ending... Of course this version of Sheppard has a strong ATA gene, too. :)

Badly wounded, Sheppard crawls away from what is left of his car, which he really loves, and then is left to die alone.
This is after he calls in the air strike that has saved planet Earth.

Although I'm probably in the minority in that I actually liked "Vegas" in its entirety, the idea that dark!Sheppard actually survived is intriguing, and opens up a whole realm of possibilities.

Well-written, and great title. I liked the darker Sheppard in this ep. Been having SGA withdrawal big time, and ironically enough, this is my favorite ep to rewatch!

Ah - a much better and more fitting end to that episode. It was distressing to see John dying alone in the desert. I very much enjoyed how you got to your ending.

Are you going to do a follow-up? Like maybe John meeting Rodney's team?

Your coda would have made it a really cool episode!

Great Tag and would love to see more added as a series? The characters are right on including a serious McKay and a irresponsible Sheppard. Can't wait to see how these two work together and maybe become friends or a team. Yes!

Oh thank God you wrote this fic to add to the end of the episode. After watching Vegas for the first time last night, I went to bed with thoughts much along these lines, but you put it down on "paper" and made it "real". No version of Sheppard should be left to die alone in the desert. I was quite distraught at the sight of him like that.
As usual, you write just superbly and I enjoy every word you craft.

Great job on this! I was kind of bummed at the end of the episode but reading your alternate ending/missing scene (not sure what to call it), gives me hope and ideas for what happened next!

omg thank you! i swear this is the real ending in my mind. they did NOT just leave poor john alone out there to die, i don't care what universe it is. great insight into a much darker (but just as delicious) john sheppard. :D

yup have to wonder what exactly the wraith was refering to i know that what he said helped john find the rogue wraith :)
