I love this story! I was reading the end and my smile was literally getting bigger and bigger the whole time, lol.

The whole concept for this is wonderful - that if Troy and Gabriella did not meet at that fateful New Year's Eve party in high school their lives would have never changed, and they would never have grown into the people that they wanted to be. Troy and Gabriella can only be truly happy when they are together. Gabriella's mom passing away and Troy's mom getting pregnant are a bit more random, but like Troy I like to believe that these signs only lead to our two favorite characters finally being united.

Oh and I love that Troy said "the start if something new" in his little spiel to Gabriella :) Awesome!

Excellent story, not only was it romantic, but true to Troy and Gabriella's characters. Nice work!!

It's so common in fanfic to make Gabriella a bad person, or to make her secretly shallow, or a slut, or any number of other horrible things. Same with Troy, actually, liking stemming from their percieved 'perfection' in canon. But this pairing can be so sweet and warm and lovely when written well. And this was written quite well.
