I'd only just watched KFPanda with the children this Christmas and thought it was wonderful. Although I feel I ought to know Zhu, I loved Bigwig's and Hazel's (Watership Down)appearance in it.

This is quite intriguing. This is just a personal preference, but I would have like more actual dialogue between characters. Also, some more background on WHY things are happening would be very much appreciated. Tai Lung's alive apparently? Would've liked to know why he's even invited in the Palace in the first place. Finally, you have quite a lot of OCs here, so there should be a certain amount of characterization for them; for us, the readers to care about them.

Here's another suggestion; have you tried possibly writing this in a first-person perspective? You can use any of the characters, including your OCs and have them narrate from their point of view. It should allow the story to flow more organically.
