Oh dear Grace - don't do what I think you're going to do!

You are freaking amazing, I was wondering how and what you could do with this story during that awesome episode, thinking it would be later in the week when you would update, but you made my workday. :D The bagpipes, tequila and amazing grace scene was very touching and intriguing, and invites Jane/Grace interaction, too. My favourite line of this was the "I want to smell like lilac too." took my (+ Grace's) breath away. Awesome job, can't wait for more!! :D

WOW..I love the tention between the two!..Great chapter although a tad too short for my liking:)

Bah!! This chapter was making my life, because of course I was putting thoughts in Grace's head all episode, ESPECIALLY when she didn't say it back to Rigsby. I really liked this chapter, but was sad that Grace was so angry at Jane the whole time (makes total sense, though). I thought the interchange between them all chapter was incredibly in-character and inside your story, raw and real. How I wish this could be canon!! I was of course hoping for a kiss or something, but this was heartbreaking but more true to what they would do. :) You could do some oneshots that don't rely on the show to dictate the endings, lol! Like a similar version of this that ends with a kiss and leaves Rigsby for good... I really hope you can come up with something for the next episode, I hear things 'heat up' between VP/Rigsby, as in a hook-up. That will be interesting, for sure...

Thank you so much for putting that last episode's events into Jace context!! :D I was actually hoping yesterday that you might do something with that last episode in this story. This made me sad, but is so much more in-character for both Jane and Grace than anything else that we would want to happen. Her hesitation in the show perfectly plays into this; they gave us several moments of doubt for the Rigsby/Grace relationship, which I appreciated, as it still left room to imagine these sort of thoughts going through her mind. I think the mos ttelling scene is when he tells her he loves her, and she splutters in response, and then Jane interrupts them when they are about to kiss! That gave me some hope for the Jace authors out there. :D Well done, this was awesome! (I'm excited for the next episode, Jane goes to jail!! :D Grace could visit him, perhaps?)

I have spent the last week almost going over and over those scenes with Rigsby and Van Pelt. What keeps striking me is that HE seems so much more invested in them than she does!

This is a really interesting take on that. well done!

I am SO happy to have read Jace that tied into the end of the newest episode! :D I have dreamed up multiple Jace fics myself because of the lack of them, and I was realizing as I was reading your chapters (rereading the first four) that I can only hope to narrow my cluttered narrative down to such perfection as yours!! Your writing is flawlessly in-character, and to continue the show's new material with your own so well is so difficult to do, especially when the show insists on throwing us so many Lisbon/Jane moments, and few-and-far-between Grace/Jane moments. I must admit, I will be deliriously happy if/when Jane and Lisbon have a serious romantic moment, but I still dream of Jace... And your story a) shows me an example of perfect Jace, dialogue, behaviour, etc, and b) is able to fit the material in so well that it gives me hope that maybe, just maybe they'll show Jane/Grace some love in the future, whether it be merely in the interim before the inevitable Jane/Lisbon, or as a fun 'cover' similar to Paint It Red with more, or w/e... In summary, I like how Grace deals with and responds to Jane's ...everything! How he manipulates, who he is, and how he conducts himself. :D Keep up the good work, I will anxiously wait for a new oneshot after the new ep, lol. (I'll hope, anyway. No pressure, don't worry! :D)

Hm, that was a bit cruel of Jane to get Graces's hope up. But then again - they should know more about each other before "other" things happen...

This story is truly beautiful, an incredibly realistic and lovely story of how they would play against each other, with a perfect amount of each light and fluffy bits and emotional messed-up-ness. Well done!
