This piece is just so powerfully evocative. You manage to convey all the emotions and dynamics of their relationship without resorting to sentimentalism. Their dialogue exchange is so beautifully wrought, and the last few lines are the ones that are particularly resonant with meaning. I love how you contrast how Renji and Rukia are mourning for different reasons, and I really think that you capture the emotional impact of Renji's unrequited love. Beautiful, infinitely beautiful, and the characterization is spot on. You've only helped fuel my passion for this pairing, along with inspiring me to write some Renji/Rukia myself. Thank you for the compelling read. Please keep on writing and provide the fanfiction world with your wondrous prose.

very nicely done. I hadn't thought of putting in a scene after Kaien was killed, and it's a good choice. A few spelling mistakes, but nevertheless understandable. Good use of imagery and descriptions. :-)
