I'd like to know what happens next! I love how Ranma still sounds like a cat after he changes back. I think over all this would be a good thing, not only would it open new possabilities for Ranma's fighting, but it would harden him to dealing with his enimies in a more... through way, as shown in thi Omake.

[Actually, most cats climb more by jumping, using the claws isn’t as ‘normal’ for them. Granted, this is from Ranma’s perspective and he might not know that]

[Although entirely plausible, I’m surprised that there weren’t further indications that Genma tried to get those rituals, either for himself or at the least for his son. The evidence that his son was losing (changing) his mind was obvious, and I’d have thought that some cautious prudence would have been fitting, and even Genma would’ve seen that.]

A Very different idea, but despite some reservations this was very well done. You went off on a pretty significant divergence, but it didn’t seem overdone or forced.

An interesting idea, I can't wait to see how this version of Ranma fares. I also can't help but think that Happosai could get his hands on some spring of drowned girl water in an attemtpt to make Ranma turn into a catgirl.

definately prelude, this is more than a good enough start to continue. What will a more honest (to his own feelings), more experienced...more "feral" as it were, Ranma be like at the start of Canon. This is a perfect "Whatif/Alt-Spring" scenerio. I for one would like to see you continue on this line. It should be very interesting so long as you keep Ranma and the Other's in character...or at least in character for the changes you have made. Ranma wont be putting up with the "Canon" BS...and being more experienced without being as civilized he will often need reminding of why certain rules are in place and why its a bad idea to kill the stick swinging idiot, etc etc and so on.

Pairing...hmm...I would say anyone but Akane or Kodachi, neither of them, based on Canon personality, would be capable of dealing with this Ranma. My favorite is always Kasumi, and i think her calmness and skill with animals would make her a natural in this role...but Nabiki's intelligence is not to be discounted and you could easily make a case for her with a little more thought and work.

This is a rather interesting concept you've dallied with here. Some authors have attempted to give Ranma a different curse, or no curse at all, but I have not seen very many well written ones. This story looks promising, but it really doesnt make a very good one shot, due to the fact that it starts right before the canon, and makes a huge change in the timeline, but does not go beyond this point, therefore leaving readers to wonder at all the changes that would come about due to Ranma's merging with the Neko-ken as well as not changing into a female. I would say that if you ever decide to focus on a story, this would be the one to direct that focus at, so that you could finish what might possibly be one of the best Ranma1/2 stories around. Well, Ive had my say, anything passed this is up to you.

Hmm, this is a really nice story base. I really like what you did there, sending him into the spring of drowned cat and forcing him to learn to use his Nekoken to it's full potential! I also enjoyed the inner struggle he went through in discovering who he truely was! However, since he never caused that fiasco at the amazon village. . . well, that pretty much means Shampoo's out of the picture, and I can also see Akane's reaction when she learns Ranma did the naughty with a cat and had kittens. . . and Ranma's reaction to the attack as well. But anyway, I'll keep this story on alert incase you do continue it. It seems like it might get good.

A rather nice oneshot that I hope you see fit to continue.
