leiasky 1/28/13 . chapter 1I've never really liked 'running' stories. I just don't think that's where they are anymore as characters expecially later in the series. But that said, this was nicely done. Some great dialogue moments. This one being my favorite: '"I disapprove of being left behind a lot more than illicit measures to bring me along."' |
eaz35173 6/23/12 . chapter 1This was great! I loved that Steele had passports ready for Laura AND Mildred! And the fact that Laura realized that he wanted her WITH him in the event he had to leave the country, was nice to see. You do one-shots really well! |
Rokimbo 6/16/11 . chapter 1Whether you continue this or not, I really enjoyed this story. Sweet, clever and it tugged at my heart in a surprising way. Terrific. |
ComicalEpiphanies 5/4/10 . chapter 1Good movie choices! Love that they both can recite movies like that. I know they started it in the show, but they didn't carry it. Nice to see that you do. |
Kelly 11/22/09 . chapter 1 Very interesting concept. I would like to see where it may go. |
Laurie M 4/29/09 . chapter 1Business first, rabbits second. Words to live by, I think. And ones that have kept me giggling for an hour - is that bad? You draw Steele's characterisation beautifully and the dialogue has the right mixture of humour and sass. I really love how you inside his head and make him a real, believable person, not just a series of cliches or a complete enigma. Masterfully done! |
undecidable13 4/26/09 . chapter 1Love loved loved this! It almost made me cry. So like Steele, to have passports made for everyone. More please! |
ilsablaine 2/9/09 . chapter 1This is fantastic. I love their reactions over the passports, but their moment on the plane, that just put me over the edge: “No—I mean, you do a wonderful Remington Steele—the only man for the role really—but, it’s always you as Remington Steele. I’m not entirely sure who you are, either, but you’re real. I created Remington Steele—he’s the perfect man—but I fell in love with you.” His vision swam for a moment, his heart thudded in his ears. He swallowed carefully, focused on her lovely, loving face. “Thank you.” He kissed her softly, but meaningfully. “You married well, Mr. Devlin.” He grinned. “Damn well.” I hope you do more of these, and FYI, I think the one-shot format would work best for this series. Looking forward to more! |
Araminta18 1/15/09 . chapter 1Oh, I love it too! And I most definitely want more! I wanna see how this turns out! :) You've got old movie quotes, a great mystery, and Laura and Steele steele in love, and added to the mix wonderful writing and great characterization! The dialogue is spot on. More, please? :) |
onebreath815 1/14/09 . chapter 1I loved this! I hope you write more. :) |

DeengoBlue 1/10/09 . chapter 1What an idea! It certainly makes for a good first chapter. (hint) |
SusanRS 1/9/09 . chapter 1I loved it! The dialogue was sharp, funny and completely in character. I loved seeing them two years later, happy and steele in love. I also loved the way Mr. Steele described the INS agent. Very funny! You write very well. I would love to read more from you, whether it be a continuation of this story or something new. BTW-What happened to your Steele Harry story? |
