You tell a great story, but please? Get a really good beta to read and correct story errors that kick the reader out of what you're telling because then you'd be an awesome writer.

Also, you can't talk when you're on a ventilator. We stick a tube down the throat and intubation inhibits the ability to speak. Change it to she's on oxygen, and she would be free to speak.

Sorry to pick the nits, but you have talent and could be even better with a bit more attention to details. :)

what can I say that I didn't when you first sent me the rough draft? There's so much emotion in this piece. It literally comes to life for us all.

I started crying with the first word and continued long after the last. Here's a character that we all know and loved, and she's facing something utterly real, so utterly human, after having lived such an extraordinary life. She's always seemed so invincible, even with the loss of her powers, but here, you've given her something to fight that she will not triumph over. Real life is like that sometimes; nobody wins every battle, and sometimes, even when it's the biggest battle of our lives, we fight it but we do not win. And yet, she's reached a level of maturity and understanding and acceptance that few adults who've lived two, three and four times longer than she had in this piece ever do. She's accepted and come to terms with the wonderful life she lived, the people she loved and lost, and is ready for when her time comes.

It's such a wonderful piece, Shawn, one that crosses boundaries and manages to touch everyone in some way. And the fact that she and Tommy had their final goodbye, that she made peace with him as well, that says something. Great job!

Wow...this story was so wonderful and so sad. As someone who knows a person with a brain tumor this story was so real and the emotions portrayed were perfect. I am still crying as I write this...this story was excellent!

this story made me cry and sometimes that hard to do but if ever i had to say goodbye to one of my favorite characters this would be the way. perfect and peaceful no fights just the calm and i know that kim would accept her fate after fighting and i know that kim wold not want tommy to see her again like that. very good story

If it's your intention to make everyone cry, I think you've succeeded, or at least for this one! The raw emotions really got to me. I can't figure out what the special request is, though! If it's something really obvious I'm going to knock my head on the wall, haha. But great job as always, Shawn, and I'm looking forward to reading new stuff from you!
