RonHeartbreaker 2009-01-24 . chapter 1Great story! Funny and sweet from top to bottom. Shego's overprotectiveness (I loove the idea of the reflective panels on Cindy's suit - that's a stroke of comic genius) rings true, and the whole scene plays out just as you'd want it to. (The Ron-James exchange of parental wisdom, btw - nice touch.) Very visual - could've been watching it on TV, for all the vividness with which it played out in my mind. |
RedBlueGreen 2009-01-12 . chapter 1Shego as obsessively overprotective "helicopter mom" is just great, I love how you've written her. Maybe it's Ron that keeps Kim from being the same...or perhaps it's just that she can't blast him with plasma.
Also, I like the seperate express legal process for Kim and Shego. The Stoppable and Lipsky families are a different kind of trouble from the rest of the world.
Cindy and James are a joy, of course. Hope you do more in this 'verse. |
bigherb81 2009-01-12 . chapter 1Great job on this one the Cindy and James stories are starting to grow on me a bit. It is imaginable seeing their kids getting along like that almost makes you wonder what the teen years are gonna be like. Could almost see the kids taking the opposite roles as the parents. Great job and hope you find the time finish the other stories soon. |
 soulman3 2009-01-10 . chapter 1I love it.
Shego has really become a over worried mom in your story. And Will Du has become paranoid. But Cindy and James might need to be watch in the future.
The Kids are so cute. |
spectre666 2009-01-09 . chapter 1A touchingly heart warming tale. Cindy and James are two of the most entertaining OC's anyone has come up with. Shego as the overprotective mom. It only makes sense. :)
Thanks

screaming phoenix 2009-01-09 . chapter 1I’m glad you haven’t abandoned your longer tales. The good stuff is always worth the wait.
I do treasure these little slices of domestic heaven you provide us from Kim and Shego’s families. I have been told that the English have a fondness for exotic foods but, glowing ones? That’s taking culinary adventuring too far.
Shego as the overprotective, nesting, mother is priceless. What a turnaround from her former behavior and attitude. You do her with a panache I find refreshing and hilarious.
It looks like Drew has sharpened his survival skills and Ron, as always, knows just the right thing to do in any sitch.
James and Cindy are just the pair to go adventuring; from snowball fights to world class adventures I can see them being an unbeatable team. Just give plenty of Pepto-Bismol to Kim and Shego.
And yeah, Agent Wilkins is right; Will Du is a paranoid git, he should go get some hot chocolate for him and his snow covered partner. |
King in Yellow 2009-01-09 . chapter 1On my way out the door when I noticed this and had to read it - even if there is no time to leave a proper review. Nice story, a lot of fun.

CajunBear73 2009-01-09 . chapter 1Yeah, I can respect taking your time to keep the drama well done as you usually do... Will wait!
That was a funny sitch all around.
Ron's simple wisdom gained from his interesting life with Kim and their side-jobs, as well as his essential Ron-ness, gave the 'just right' feeling with his talks with Wade and James here. I guess Kim's prowess, or lack thereof, in the kitchen was only known locally, but what possessed those folks in London to request she provide something from her efforts from that environment of disaster? Glowing food? Oy, such the hazmat incident...
Shego, on the other hand... Same fierceness from the woman, but from childbirth comes a sense of nesting and over protectiveness that seems to have yet to end at the Lipsky home. Drew seems to have honed his sense of self-preservation to a fine point by now. LOL!
James and Cindy's romp in the park was fun to imagine as it quickly devolved as it did. He just didn't realize his comet-powered best friend could retaliate as she did and is paying the price. But having Shego chase the two children as she did was so very comical to imagine.
Yeah, Wilkins is right, Du is soo the Git.
Stay happy, and angst when you can!

AtomicFire 2009-01-09 . chapter 1Right on, Will Du is a paranoid git, at least that's how he comes across in the series.
I really like how you portray a maternal Kim and Shego, but its easy to miss how easy Ron and Drakken fit into the paternal roles. Classic comedy there. |
Mr. Wizard 2009-01-09 . chapter 1Ah, let's hear it for the muse of comedy. I have a great fondness for domestic humor and short stories. Strange to think of Shego thinking that way, but it works. |
Sentinel103 2009-01-09 . chapter 1What makes me think that winters are going to be much more fun with those two around. We just hope that James has inherited some of his fathers running skills.

Katsumara 2009-01-09 . chapter 1Haha! Whoo boy. This was great, Charles. I do love James and Cindy. Awesome kids, and I loved Ron's little dose of wisdom there. Bright guy. |
