I've always remembered this fic ever since reading it long ago on your site. Just wanna say it's one of my favourite fics and it's been stuck in my memory since i read it. I'm surprised you didn't get more reviews!

The first Tomo and Soi fic I ever read. No matter how many others I've come across, yours has always remained my favourite. In fact, "The Crossraods" is my favourite Fushigi Yuugi fanfic.

So many people write Tomo and Soi of as catty rivals, when I think that there's much more to their relationship than that. They're too much the same not to be at least sympathetic towards each other. Your fic is one of the only ones that really explores the parallels between these two without having to ask the reader to suspend their disbelief by putting them out of character in an implausible situation.

This is a really unique fic. It was cool to see Tomo's opera background actually dealt with. All-in-all, I am reminded of Samuel R Delany's myth-based novels. Maybe you should consider writing something like that? An original short novel I mean.
