Hm, I actually wanted to review your drabbles... but somehow I came to read this songfic. Must be fate.

Anyway, its the same as with the drabbles: I dont read many songfics...

... but this one was really good. I dont know how you do it but you always accomplish it to characterise Yohji and Aya in such a good way that I can understand them, feel with them.

I liked the thing with the changing POVs - even the "odd present-tense-ish third-person-narrator"

But especially the Yohji part and the Aya part were so good! I think you really managed it to show how differently they think, how different they are - and though they are attracted to each other, they mean so much to each other (and make a good couple, of course).

And the ending... I liked it so much! Sounded so hopefully... and its true, I think they can handle a relationship despite all the doubts and problems...

But the thing I definitely liked most was the following description of how Yohji got into Ayas life and heart:

"like some twisted, over-affectionate, pleading glowworm"

Thats so cute! Now Im imagining an image of a Yohji-glowworm... I so wish I could draw!

Ah one thing more: I didnt know the song but I followed your advice and listened to it on youtube - its really great! And the lyrics and your fic fit perfectly!

(Once again Im very sorry for my English, its so hard for me to express myself in English... and because of that the reviews always are way too long and kind of confusing, gomen ne...)

Guh! I often pass over songfics. I'm glad I didn't pass over this one. Your descriptions of their insecurities is wonderful and clearly paints a picture of what they really mean to each other, and the varying pov is awesome. Great job!

I know it's stupid to be jealous of their relationship you described here, but it was beautiful to me the way it was written here, the darkness of it all, and the light. I guess I can only say "Great job" because my mind is so lost I cannot think of anything better. It's always the small fics that get to me...
