Another good reading. And I think I get the whole, "we're after this story line, yet way before them." Since this is dated 1945, the events in Nightmare are after Prince Caspian, Dawn Treader and Silver Chair. But, since the Narnian events talked about occur 1300 Narnian years before those stories, that is how we are before them. I couldn't help but try to figure it out.

This story is making me so sad! I LOVE IT! Now I'm feelin' sad, though, so I'd better go listen to something cheery.

Anyway, this chapter was just... wow. I can't describe it, because my description would probably do a terrible job of summing up the awesomeness.

...Ok, I think I've managed to pull myself together. Wow, you are one of the few authors (I think there are like two others) whose every update reduces me to either giggles, tears, shock, or sheer speechlessness for no apparent reason. The format of the letters works beautifully, and that last line - perfect.

Gosh, Peter's really gone of the rails! I really wasn't expecting that when I started reading - I really am wondering how you're going to turn things around to the way they were in The Last Battle. *ponders* Meh, nothing I could come up with will be as good as what you write anyway, so... *gives up pondering*

"She gives me the strange feeling that I’ve met someone like her before, though I couldn’t place when or where."

That line gave me CHILLS. Seriously. I get the feeling that something big is going on with Millie - is she similar to Saedra? Is Peter caught between loving her and hating her? Am I reading WAY too much into this? Who knows?

Also, that scene in the How was inspired! Lovely as always, I can't wait to see what you come up with next! And wow, for me that was a VERY long review, lol!

Wow, Tasty,this just continues to be a gem of infinite, shining facets (did NOT realize I was getting such a good metaphor from that, but here we go). Each chapter keeps building, layering upon the others, presenting more sides to the story, more complications to add to th nightmare Susan is coming to live in.

I LIKE your Peter-angst, which is surprising, in retrospect, because I don't usually care for the Pevensies sinking into angry, resentful despair. But this is so well-written, and I think the fact that it comes out through Edmund's letter makes it fit the story rather than detract from it. So kudos there.

I LOVE that Susan is not actually going to parties - I know this story is AUish, but it gives the reader cause to pause and wonder: when the Friends all talk about her in LB, is she REALLY concerned only with party invitations?

And wow. The ending scene, with Lucy and Susan in the How...
"'It feels...icky...' Lucy said. 'It's so wrong.'"
Wow. That just makes my heart cry out for them (Susan and Lucy, I mean). Those two were the two Pevensies who really had little to do with the betrayal of the Narnians, as you put it, and now they are being punished for it. Or...not punished, but the ill affects of Ed's and Peter's (and Saedra's) actions are much further reaching than may seem on the surface. Susan is already experiencing the shock and joy and mourning and confusion that all come at once from remembering the REAL Golden Age and her marriage - for poor Lucy to not only forget her relationship with Tumnus but to believe it would be wrong...that is just heart-breaking. It was a real relief when Susan said that she thinks Lucy forgot that experience in the How, but still...

Update update update! I know you've got NaNo, but I'll be (im)patiently waiting for more of this!!

Wow, Ed's letter... We and Su obvs get what Peter's problem is, but it's so ultra depressing to hear about and especially through Ed like that, who doesn't remember/understand. Oh c'mon Tasty, tell me something good will happen for Peter soon!!

Also - did Peter happen to be interested in Mille b/c perhaps she reminds him of Sae? Just a thought I had.

Wow Tasty. This is good. I feel awfully sorry for the Four. I really, REALLY, hope they get this all straightened out. If they don't, then in LB, why would Peter and Edmund be friendly again? Did they forget the bad times? Are the Boys' wives going to be in Aslan's country? And why in LB was Edmund at the dinner the friends of Narnia had, and why was he at the train Station with Peter?

Another gorgeous chapter. I loved seeing PC scenes. Very well done. I feel like you were making a commentary on fan fiction, a very self-aware commentary. Like Lucy and Susan were accusing YOU of doing this to them! Hah! Which I guess is true.

That's so HORRIBLE! Ack! I feel like Susan is regretting her decision to come to America. But she can't be happy anywhere, really, truly. How sad.

This story is killing me. In the good way.

ACK! LOVE! I think that's my reaction to every one of your chapters, but gosh! Very well done. That last line was chilling and brutal.

It's heartbreaking that Su is lying about her good times in America. Sad, sad, sad. It's a breautifully wrenching picture of her alone in the dorms. I know how dead dorms can be when everyone is gone. :(

Yay! More Edmund! I love that kid. It was great having it from his perspective.

I was thinking about this the other day and I have to mention it. I'm a lurker at the NFFR forums and I noticed there's this huge obsession with Ed. I have this theory that we have YOU, Tasty, to blame for it. I've been reading fanfic a long time, but it wasn't until HKDS that Ed became this sexy star. Now he's just shagging girls right and left, literally! I blame/thank you for that.

And I also thank you for another brilliant chapter. *bows and kisses Tasty's feet*

I adore your works. I like many have been in the closet, reading your stuff without commenting. But I appreciate you taking the time to post this even if you're in the middle of something like Nanowrimo. :*

I love that Susan is the main character. I fear for her, because I don't trust you to leave her safe in this story. But I do trust you to tell an amazing tale.

Anyway... well Ed the reason Millie seems so familar is because she's really Priyah. Or at least that's my prediction. I hate seeing Peter all depressed, but I can't really blame him. And then Ed just doesn't remember, it's going to be horrible when he does!(or if he does...).

Poor Su having to spend the holidays all by herself, with all of the memories coming back, which is just going to make her depressed.
