Very interesting story, I love the fact that Snape is Cissa's confident and that he is so in tune with Draco as well. And scrubbing blood out of the carpet was such a poetic way to represent abuse without having to write about actual acts of violence.

This story says a great deal in a small space. I am surmising that Lucius behaved badly after being bested by Harry and Dobby, and that Narcissa is making Lucius feel the weight of it, with Snape as witness. Excellent.

really well done but i don't understand quite how her comment in the end would "nip it in the bud" if its been going on for years then how will so small a comment like that suffice? i would think it would make him angry rather then make him cringe
