excellent fic! Edel is one of my favorite characters

Wow. I always felt there weren't enough Edel fics around, so to find one about two of the most intriguing and most neglected characters--Edel and the Oak--was refreshing and exciting. I like the premise of this and your descriptive writing--that first paragraph in particular was so vivid I felt like I could see it. In fact, I wish there were even more descriptive writing in this!

I also really liked the title--it might just be in my head, but I couldn't help feeling there was an implicit connection you were making between the musical instrument and the heart as organ (body part). That might just me XD

Edel was always one of my most favorite characters.

I love how you incorporated the wood from the tree being used to make Edel.
This is really fantastic. The way you wrote it- with all the references to stories and whatnot- made it seem like it could have actually happened in the series.

Oh that was gorgeous. It just was. I really like the idea! It's very original and I haven't seen anything like it. And the change in tone was well-done; I could totally tell the difference between the tree with human feelings and the emotionless puppet. Thank you for the wonderful read!
