I like how we don't know who the lover is mostly because I hate the whole idea of Alex being gay. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against gays, I just don't think Alex is one.

Just wondering- did the lover die before Alex got in bed, or did s/he die during the night? Also, you forgot the "Scorpia never forgives" part. More plot might be nice, too. Changing "their" to "his" or "her" would make this better, in my opinion.

Your idea of a dead lover is very interesting. The first person point of view is a nice touch that I really enjoy. It's gruesome, but the details made it an excellent read. It makes me wonder how the assassin sneaked in!

I like your writing style. I can't really say what it is about it, but it really appeals to me. I can't really say anything about Alex being "in-character"-I don't have that much to work with. xD

On that note, you did a very good job introducing characters in under 10 words. To me, it also left a great impact at the end. Simply heart-wrenching. Awe-worthy in it's purest right.

Although, may I ask about the lover's unidentified gender? That just seemed odd to me...

I haven't read these books (I will find them to read!) but this still made sense to me so good job with that part! It seems good to me but if you get a PM from me telling you I really really enjoy it now it's because I've read the books and have looked back at this.

I really like how it was open-imagination for loverperson... Because if I had to read one more Sabina fic, I was going to kill myself!... Or, preferably, kill Sabina. lol.

So, in my mind, it's either Wolf, or Yassen... Or some other hot guy that we haven't met... No, I don't like slash. I love it! (If you couldn't already tell...:D) The only problem with it being one of those two incredibly lovely men would be that they're both highly trained, and much less likely victims of an attacker than anyone else in the world. lol.

And I think it would have been a bit redundant for them to have mentioned the "Scorpia never forgives." Because, honestly, I think that Alex already got that message from the death of the mysterious loverperson.

Normally, I dislike the first person POV in AR, but it worked really, really well in this. Especially making sure that the gender of loverperson wasn't revealed... Because it doesn't have one! lol. Sorry, couldn't resist. I never can. :D

In my imagination the dead guy seems to be yassen, but that's probably only because I'm unhealthily obsessed with that pairing - I can't see Yassen getting murdered in his sleep.
