Don't you worry. They get to it as well. Alphonz's prescence at the beginning is heavy, but that mostly was a buildup to get people wondering. As soon as they get to the End of Time, Alphonz lets them get on their own way... well, after they talk with mister God of War.
And besides, this actually started out as a roleplay. So fighting action wasn't heavily centered upon. I rather dislike doing combat scenes to begin with because of how hectic it gets.
Anyway, in the next chapter, Marle tends to kick some ass with a laughable way of storing her crossbow. Alphonz at the beginning is basically a guardian angel but as soon as he has the ability to speak, he tends to shed that and let the party fend for themselves.
K, I'm really loving the story, AND I really love the dialoge, AND I really like Alphonz's presence, but one small quamn: the rest of the gang, (Lucca, Chrono, and Marle,) don't really...fight enough. Al's doing all the work. Let's see some killer marksman-ship from Marle, some Clint-Eastwood-ing from Lucca, and some badass swordplay from Chrono. Keep Alphonz, but can we get a little action for the main characters?
Sweet story! Also, love the fact that you toned down Marle a little, (no more "WAZZAP MEH HOMIE!"), and love the whole humor parody thats going on! Keep it up!

ps, we gonna see some Crono-Marle romance at all? I'm not talking lemons, but anything?
Not too bad. I like the this is going and even the pop culture references are pretty funny and actually fairly easy to throw in what with the time travel and all. Marle is absolutely hilarious and your dialog for Crono is pretty much just like in the game if you know he had actually said anything, but he was always the more level headed member of the group. I really like how you did the fight scenes and actually made them realistic, far too many people who try a novelization of a game end adding in everything including the turn based fighting and the Random encounters and boss fights and all that, that stuff is great if you're doing a parody or a crack fic but not so much for anything else. I'm definitely looking forward to more! Keep up the good work! Update soon!
Chrono Trigger is the BEST rpg ever made. And the way you're retelling it is GREAT! I'm just wondering, are you going to stick to the origonal plot 100%, and just work within Character interaction and development? Cause if so, good on ya! Great story, well writen so far, keep it up!
