Indeed. You could improve this with more description, perhaps. What did Sonic feel like as he watched the pit? Also, what did the others do to him? How depressed did he feel as he waited there? Could he feel the heat boil up from the gaping maw of fire? Did he cry as he watched the flames?

I don't blame Sonic for the recent downfall of his fame. I blame the developers. Since SA2 things have more or less gone downhill. Especially with Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog '06. Regardless of the cannon facts of the SEGA company and Sonic the Hedgehog that develop, I shall stand by the characters that I KNOW!

It's funny, but I've never thought of any of the new Sonic games were bad at all (exception: Sonic Next, but only because it was unfinished). The majority of games released are /way/ worse than the new Sonic games, it's just that people expect too much of him so his games are rated harder. I've said this before and I'll say it again: I bet that if Sonic Unleashed's Werehog segments were released as it's own game with new characters then it would've gotten higher ratings.

Nice job. I agree, it's not Sonic's fault his creators are attempting career-suicide. However, there is a story called "Game Over" by "Duckstapler" which expresses opposition towards the "new" Sonic games. Check it out.

I was close to tears when I read this. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was my first video game and I've been hooked to the series ever since. My love for the series has only grown over the past nine years that I've been a fan and my love for the series has not wavered once. I love it so much that I learned as much as I possibly can, I'd sooner chew off my own foot before I stop loving Sonic.
