"Rose will understand" -Always :) I like this it would have been better this way (less dramatic and angsty) but nice that he wasn't alone again(!) I like that he trusted Rose to visit with (the master) and understand completely and just accept it. Second on my list of wish that hadn't happened in the DW-verse (after Rose being stuck/left behind) is the Master's death (John Simms was amazing and i loved the energy between him and david)...still unsure WHY he HAD to die.

Nice story. At first I wasn't sure who he was but then it all became clear.It's a good twist.
I love the idea of him becoming human again, of being a good person as a human and being friends with The Doctor, learning about Rose and all.
You should consider writing more in this universe, other one shots would be fun.
