Ahhahaha... gah, you know what this kind of thing means to me. Intro lyrics from Skillet and I already know what I'm getting myself into.

The only real thought I had about this, sadly, is more one of despair. It's funny how we pick up on things about certain people, the way they act or the way they do something, and we know something is wrong... but for some reason, that first instinct, that first whispering is not acted on. I suppose that is just one of the things that comes with being human; we can't always do everything right the first time.

I'm inclined to think of that song "Best of Me" (you know the one ^_^) and read the ending in bittersweetness. "I'm sorry..."

Did you get the PM I sent you on the forums? It was my rendition, and it approached this in an ENTIRELY different way--which I think is really funny! I wrote it scene-by-scene, where you actaully heard the question-response of "Are you all right?" and "I'm fine."

I really liked this. Yours is better, by the way.

Some little lines really did it for me. The little line that you revealed, about how Ed was fragile enough that if he was dropped he'd be broken and Hawkeye thinks "now he's just like her"--that was a nice touch. Or the line about Mustang just thinking about Ed cold and still on the floor. And Hughes...I think his was like my favorite, if not a tie with Hawkeye's...I think his was the most believable. It hink you know why his last lines struck me the most: "Life is worth living, so keep holding on. We want to help you. Just ask us." Hughes was great because he immediately thinks he SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. And that's just incredibly believable for me. In fact, in my rendition, I think there is a line akin to not believing that he didn't catch on before then.

I loved this loved it loved it. Really a lot. I do hope you got my copy though...wanted your opinion =) Great job!

That makes me think, then - with a world full of tools to kill himself at his disposal, why then did he choose to go to a friend and make something belonging to that friend the thing that killed him. Why, that is, did he go to a friend unless he hoped that friend would realise what was happening and talk him out of it? >:

GASP! Riza o_o With an 'R'! . . . Did you write it that way because the story's for Bizzy, or did something change your mind? Or was it just that now you're so used to read "Riza" that you forgot your usual "Liza"? XD

Lovely little emotional scene from Roy. And Edward. That would be such a shock to have someone grab you and rattle you around like that only to start crying.

Scary. I wanted to read more...it sounds like there were a number of ways Ed could chave done it but which did he choose? Did Maes get to say what he wanted to tell Ed?

I really loved this. It was well-written and it made me want to cry; I just wish there had been more to it.

I'm amazed how such a short story can keep up so much emotion.
I took a look of the Heiki and Heiki chapter in the other story but I think this works great with just it's own.
