As far as finding stories, check out Luckei1, she has some DMHG that does not contain to the war and whatnot, also try atruwriter, also has some excellent ones. But I her DMHG have been lacking in the updates, rest her soul. You can try my Favorite Stories list which has a ton of good DMHG, beautiful written and such, also my community as well you can find some excellent stories.
