My fav part was that bit about that ever-formidable "other" types of strong. The whole "not strong in the way that really matter, the kind of strength that enables one to earn a title like "Thousand Slayer" was remarkably in character, I think, because even as he praises others Kyo has to prove that he's still better. Even when he's not. Or something?

Again: Not trite. AWESOME.
