I liked it. Had too many separations between paragraphs, but still it was well-written and, well, somehow needed. I must look at your fiction more.

Why did it happen? What did the admins mean by "we've been pushed too many times"? And how come every time I find a place to call home it dies?

Sorry. I can't help that I'm verbose. ;)

But a change of forum isn't necessarily a huge deal. I went through one other once, though it was more of a switch of providers on the admin part, but it was like beginning on a completely new forum, and it wasn't exactly the same as the previous one in feel. But it was a nice place regardless.
