Poor Izzy... I can sort of relate. I have ADD, and when I was in second grade I had to be excused from those timed math tests. You know, the ones where you have, like, two minutes to complete sixty problems. My brain is wired for word problems... Anyway. great job.

This is a great story. BTW are you or a person close to you Dyslexic? I'm not despite my bad spelling. If so I wish you all the luck in the world to realize that that person's disability is just a stone in the road.

Yes,great!Thank you for telling them what it's like.I'm dyslexic too,(in reading and especially in math).That's how I've always felt,extremly dumb which caused me to be forever embarrassed.But in reality,we're not at all.Some of the most famous geniouses were dyslexic,and so were/are some famous stars too.Don't down yourself.Good fic by the way.

BRILLIANT. Touching, informative, and so, so true. One of my best friends has dyslexia and whenever she tells people they're shocked - I mean, she's applying to Cambridge, who would have guessed? It just shows that having dyslexia DOESN'T make someone stupid, and it can be very stressful do deal with. You put that across really well. We need more stories like this on ff.net.

Nice way of putting this problem in perspective. I don't suffer from it, but I can relate a little to the way Izzy feels here. Writing in that matter helps convey the emotions he's feeling. Short but sweet.
