The Forsaken Girl
2009-02-09 . chapter 1
Oh, this was gorgeous. I loved how the fic was so...soft, for lack of better words. The subtlety and the awkward beginning slowly changing into something more comforting and realistic is wonderful. You have both of them wonderfully in character, just as how I would imagine Watanuki and Doumeki as adults. And oh, Yuuko! I like how you've just said that she's disappeared, or that she's gone rather than saying she's dead. Very good choice of an euphemism for me, considering I have pleasantly ignored any looming hints of a less-than-satisfactory future for her. Himawari replacing Yuuko is a surprising choice, but very interesting to think about and I warmed up to the thought of that quite quickly. Overall, it was a fantastic work of fanfiction. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more from you! :)

I really enjoyed this; though it wasn't exactly cheerful. The mood felt like a rainy, foggy night, old and worn but still somewhat comfortable. If that makes any sense...*shrug* Himawari was a bit eerie and sad, thinking of her taking over for Yuuko.

Read this on lj once while I was lurking. (I'm a terrible lurker.) I couldn't comment there, but I can now–you are a genius. Period. I don't know what touches me most in here, the use of their first names, their closeness/distance, or maybe the fact that everyone here rejoices, and then despairs–and rejoices again.
You should post more of your fics on ff.

Ow, Doumeki is dark in here, but I like it, I like their closeness, it kind of sweet :) I feel a little weird to have Doumeki become the one who can see spirit while Watanuki can't, but I love the ending.

Yay! you've posted it here!!

Well, I've already commented on lj, but I figured, what the heck. It's not forbidden to review twice, right? ^^

This is a lovely piece. It's so dark and depressing at first, with Doumeki feeling so empty, yet it gets slowly beter and better and ends in such happy terms that it makes me want to smile... there is hope for the future yet, and Doumeki is not about to give up on it. :3
