Masterarcher 2009-03-15 . chapter 1AW! SO SWEET! I loved the implications and I still hold firm to the belief that Legolas and Aragorn WILL enter Valinar together. I love how you wrote this. As always you are most inspired and inspiring mellon-nin! Keep up the good work!:) |
lindahoyland 2009-03-06 . chapter 1a moving and beautiful story. |

 asdfjkl; 2009-02-09 . chapter 1 brilliant xD
i always get all sad and mushy when we get into the legolas and aragorn being separated for eternity. |
spiritstallion 2009-02-06 . chapter 1This is a really sweet little story. Please read and review my stories |
Imbecamiel 2009-02-04 . chapter 1I thoroughly loved this story, mellon-nin. As many of your stories, it has a bittersweet edge to it, but with an overwhelmingly hopeful and uplifting trend. And I so liked the flow of conversation between Aragorn and Legolas - very much a trusting exchange between friends, and drifting comfortably between the deep and important questions of life and the future, and lighthearted banter and teasing.
Wonderful, wonderful story, as I've come to expect from you. :)

toushiro1310 2009-02-01 . chapter 1Hmm... It got a little bit too mushy and a couple points, but I wont judge. It was okay. |
White Wolf1 2009-02-01 . chapter 1I know I've said this before, but it bears repeating. I love these quiet little moments you write between the two friends. It's a nice compliment to the rousing adventures we put them through.
You've started with another great piece of imagery, this time of Minas Tirith. It was so easy to visualize.
~For a moment he wondered whether there would ever be a conversation with Aragorn where he would not wish that he had become a philosopher instead of a warrior.~ What an insightful observation. I had never thought about it like that, but Legolas is so right.
Aragorn is a hero and a great man, yet even after all he's been through, all he's done and all he now has, he still has doubts, which makes him all the more human. He could so easily have been arrogant and unapproachable. It's stories like these that endear him to all of us.
"I would love to have a wood-elf to talk to." Now that is a poignant statement that speaks volumes about their friendship.
Loved it, mellon nin, or couldn't you tel? :o) |
Legolass Q 2009-01-31 . chapter 1I was just about to make the observation that this story could well have been entitled "Home" when I noticed that the prompt itself was 'home' :-) And what an appropriate story you've written for it, Duckie. Lovely and warm. I particularly like Aragorn's subtle request for Legolas to stay nearby: “There are many beautiful trees in Ithilien... I think they would love to have a wood-elf to talk to.”
I bet you melted in your own bucket, Wet Puddle. :-) |
 Ilada'Jefiv 2009-01-30 . chapter 1Wonderful job! This is definitely a fav! |
Ida Cippo 2009-01-30 . chapter 1If I am not already purring in admiration, I will certainly soon.
I am always amazed how you manage to convey so many emotions in such small discussions.
First the idea of home, which truly must not be easy upon both Aragorn and Legolas but Aragorn more so,
the thought of having to be seperated by something elves are untroubled by, namely death
and finally the friendship which is just pulsing around in your stories ;)
^^ I love the mention of Legolas living in Ithilien with Faramir, this was something I always loved from the book, and always wondered how it came to be =D
thanks for that short story and update soon! |
empath89 2009-01-28 . chapter 1Aww...that was really good. Sad, yet with a bit of hope. It's the perfect representation of these two characters. Nicely done.
hugs...empath |
Andeldaiel 2009-01-28 . chapter 1That was a truly beautiful story. I just love how you write their friendship. This has to be one of my favorite past times-to read great LOTR stories...especially yours ;) Thank you and please keep them coming! :) |
StarLight9 2009-01-28 . chapter 1What a beautiful, bittersweet story! I loved Aragorn's hope that his eternal home would be no farther apart from Legolas's than Rivendell and Mirkwood. I can easily imagine them visiting each other from Valinor to the Secondborn's eternal home, and back. It is heartbreaking that they will have to part one day, maybe forever *sniff* Your title and the ending were very beautiful and melt-worthy - let's hope that they will indeed be together for all eternity! I liked the short moments of humour too - Legolas calling Aglarond a home! Wait until Gimli hears that! (And Aragorn will make sure to tell him :-D)
And I have to comment on your dedication as well - long live all Elf-and-Ranger-friendship writers and readers :-) |
