Glad Tony finally got his date and some 'action'. Rhodey is going to need to think about when he calls now that he knows Pepper and Tony are together, or he might just get to talk to Jarvis, lol. Nice ending.

Very good so far, loads of suspense, and like the hurt/comfort bit you had going.

i mean, first having the flu/infection and now he gets blown up too?! this can not be happening! :( especially not without a resolution! ;)

was rhodey in his war machine suit? or did he get to nyc by more conventional ways? and wat was with Jarvis advising tony not to go? i totally agree with the AI. but was there something wrong with the suit? or was jarvis just concerned about how sickly his boss had been just a few days earlier? or was it more of a you're-not-thinking-straight-cuz-you're-so-angry-so-stay-here-and-calm-down-first-before-you-go kind of a warning?

PS by the by, i totally agree with you on rhodey's stance now. so - no hard feelings ok? as it was NOT my attention to be nit-picky or preachy at all. playing devil's advocate after all is definitely way better and more intellectual than being just a yes-man. :) and well, i really truly hope i didn't offend or upset you with my last review, for that was definitely NOT my intent either.

And - NOW - that I know what's going on - I absolutely luv the idea of a possible rogue agent in Tony/Rhodey/Pepper's midsts. And lord knows that in RL, that kind of thing is pretty common and REALISTIC to occur, especially in this day and age. So, i also really liked tony's wary, better-to-be-safe-than-sorry stance on this issue as being part your story!

(Rhodey's stance tho was MAYBE wee bit off, considering he SHOULD know that there ARE already documented and true government conspiracies out there...Watergate, anyone? So - what's one more to add to that list?)

But - that one small personal quibble aside - I'm definitely of course looking forward to seeing more similarly-superb chapters of this lovely-so-far fic, so please update this soon! :)

Great job on the press conference and I really liked the conversation between Tony and Rhodey.

Poor Tony!I feel so bad for him. His alibi seems pretty solid so I don't see how things could get worse. I look forward to more, as always!

Also, I noticed at the bottom of the page, there are ads for Iron Man stuff (obviously) but also Vick's cold medicine, haha.

I must say...This is yet ANOTHER really g-r-r-r-reat fic so far! :) You've caught my attention again with your spot-on characterizations of all involved, and with the cute, yet comforting tit-for-tat that's going on between Tony and Pepper. And I like the way you used the auction, and that Tony showed up even though he was ill. Shows that he really loves her and doesn't want to share. :: lol :: NOT that I mind that. At all. Who knows wat dastardly freak COULD have 'won' her otherwise...

And the end of this chapter? With Rhodey? Equally intriguing. Totally hooked me for the duration, madam! ;) What DID Tony do now tho? ;) And how in the world did he get by an alert Pepper...O-o-o-o. Wait! Is this an evil twin story? ;)
