I really liked this. It managed to be very sweeping and distant, yet very personal and intimate. Their characters were wonderfully preserved and the general feeling was sad, but quite beautiful. Good stuff.

This was great! I love how you gently gloss over Mello's life like that, too: just enough to tell the important details, leaving the rest to the reader's imagination.

The whole story, and the way Mello/Matt/Near/Halle/everyone interacts, is fantastic - in character, and I can really see them acting like that.

I love this story >< I don't know Mello that well but this seems to fit him perfectly, and it's written so amazingly too! It flows so well and none of the sentences stick out awkwardly... I'm envious~
