 Fantony 2009-03-16 . chapter 1I.ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. THIS!
Weird thing is I had missed that. I thought that for all those months, you were on my authors alert list, but apparently, you weren't! I'm gonna fix that immediately! ;-)
What can I say? This is a very original and very credible way of telling the story of what Eiri was doing that memorable evening.
Eiri is a man of addictions and obsessions, so I can perfectly imagine him "stalking" people.
And you know I am a fervent defender of the theory that Eiri actually NEEDS Shuichi much more than Shu needs him so I really liked that story and the fact that Eiri, even though he wouldn't do something as silly as throwing himself in front of a foreign car (Huhu!), was the one who really wanted to get to know Shu, to make him part of his life... so cute!
This is very well written and once again, your descriptions kick ass! :-D
I too never get tired of observing people (and it sometimes earns me some black looks, in the underground for example, when I stare at people with too much insistance without even noticing it!) and I love to imagine what their life is like. Why is this girl crying? How did those two meet?... etc.
That story really has a poetical atmosphere ("I had the distinct impression of clouds parting in front of the sun when he spoke", that was beautiful), but that fits really nicely with Eiri. I mean, don't you expect a writer -a romance writer, moreoever!- to have a poetical vision of every little thing in life? :)
The end was fantastic! Just when Eiri was ginving up on his potential muse, thinking that losing Shu's track was a sign that he wasn't meant to have him, they meet up again... "It's...Gravitation..."
Oh, and the line "I think the kid is turning me gay" and the last line cracked me up! Priceless! I can SO imagine Eiri thinking those things!
Please, never stop to write diane!! :-) |
